I Think increasing price on this laptop will affect ASUS sales badly because other competitors are selling in less price with same or higher configuration.
Both Laptops have 144 Hz Refresh Rate with IPS Display and Nvidia 4 GB 3050 GTX GDDR6 Graphic coprocessor.
Display & Refresh Rate
As I already told you that both laptops has 144 Hz Refresh rate and FHD.
The refresh rate of a display is the number of times per second that the image refreshes on the screen. For example, a 60Hz display will update the screen 60 times per second. Overall, the refresh rate determines how smoothly motion appears on your screen.
You have to understand that Refresh Rate and Display Quality matters a lot in Gaming because very game has so many frame to play every second and if you display is not fast enough to execute those frames then “Game will Start legging“.
Performance & Graphics
I tell you honestly, I used both laptops but according to me, HP Victus is slightly better than ASUS A17 because of its higher processor and B&O Sounds.
But There is a inbuilt software(Dtsx Ultra) in ASUS A17 which helps you to boost audio and choose different audio modes.
Note: Generation of HP Victus is Higher than ASUS A17.

Storage & Its Type
Many People get confused by the “its type” term. Okay, Let me tell you what I mean by that…
See, Companies designed basically two types of storage HDD & SSD.
HDD is old technology and you guess right. HDD is much slower than SSD. But not many people can afford SSD but it doesn’t mean that SSDs are so Expensive.
Both Laptops have 512 GB SSD Storage.
But Both Laptops have Extra SSD Slot to Increase Storage.
